Physicians, researchers, and patients united by a shared healthcare mission
About Kihealth Labs

A company built to detect disease before it changes a life.

Kihealth Labs was founded on a simple belief: healthcare should identify disease earlier — when there is still time to intervene, still time to change the outcome, and still time to protect what matters most.

Our Origin

From Discovery to Clinical Impact

Translating breakthrough molecular science into clinically actionable diagnostics.

Headquarters
St. Augustine, FL

Home to our high-complexity molecular laboratory and corporate offices.

The foundational technology behind Kihealth originated at Yale University, where pioneering work by Dr. Kevin Herold demonstrated the potential to detect beta-cell injury using circulating biomarkers. This scientific breakthrough opened a new lens on chronic disease — one that revealed molecular signals long before symptoms, long before clinical diagnosis, and long before irreversible damage had already taken place.

That discovery created a rare opportunity: to rethink how chronic diseases — particularly Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes — could be identified much earlier than traditional approaches allow. For decades, medicine has waited for disease to declare itself. This science offered the possibility of listening for it, quietly, at a molecular level, years earlier.

Kihealth Labs was founded in 2023 with a singular mission: to translate this groundbreaking science into clinically accessible diagnostics capable of changing how diseases are detected, monitored, and ultimately prevented. Not confined to a research paper. Not reserved for a small handful of academic centers. But delivered — reliably, affordably, and at scale — to the clinicians and patients who need it.

Today, Kihealth continues advancing and commercializing this technology through its high-complexity molecular laboratory in St. Augustine, Florida, working alongside leading physicians, researchers, academic institutions, healthcare systems, and industry partners to bring these innovations into real-world clinical practice.

Great science only matters when it reaches the people it was meant to help.

Mission & Vision

What drives us — and where we're going.

Two ideas guide every decision at Kihealth: a clear sense of purpose today, and a long-term vision for a healthcare system built around prevention.

Our Mission

Empowering clinicians with earlier, more actionable insights.

Our mission is to empower clinicians with earlier, more actionable molecular insights that enable earlier disease detection, improve therapeutic decision-making, support treatment monitoring, and ultimately help patients live healthier lives.

We are committed to transforming healthcare from a reactive model into one centered on prevention, precision, and earlier intervention.

Our Vision

A healthcare system built around prevention, not consequence.

We envision a future where molecular diagnostics become a routine part of clinical care — equipping physicians with powerful new tools to identify disease earlier, personalize treatment, monitor therapeutic response, and improve patient outcomes across chronic diseases.

Our long-term vision is to help build a healthcare system that focuses on preventing disease progression rather than simply treating its consequences.

Strategic Pillars

What our diagnostics are built to support

  • Earlier Disease Detection

Identify molecular signals of disease years before symptoms or clinical diagnosis.

  • Better Clinical Decision-Making

Give clinicians objective, actionable data to guide diagnosis and treatment planning.

  • Therapeutic Monitoring

Track how patients are responding to therapy with sensitive molecular readouts.

  • Therapeutic Development

Support pharmaceutical partners with biomarkers that sharpen trial endpoints.

  • Precision Medicine

Match the right intervention to the right patient at the right point in the disease.

  • Improved Patient Outcomes

Turn earlier insight into earlier action — and better long-term health for patients.

Why It Matters

Behind every diagnostic is a family hoping for earlier answers, better outcomes, and more time together.

Why We Exist

Earlier answers. Better outcomes. Fewer lives changed by preventable disease.

We believe the future of healthcare begins with earlier answers. By equipping clinicians with better tools, supporting therapeutic innovation, and advancing disease interception, we are working toward a future where fewer people experience the devastating consequences of preventable chronic disease.
